Garrett Stites
Garrett Stites is 20 years old and residing in Southeast Kansas. Garrett was introduced to hunting and fishing at an early age from my Dad and Grandpa. Some of my earliest memories are from being in the outdoors, from taking my first deer to calling in my first turkey. But at the early age of 10 Garrett's obsession began. Garrett went on his first goose hunt on Christmas morning, although there was not a shot fired, just watching the birds work and listening to them call had him hooked.
Garrett's favorite type of hunting is decoying early season teal and also in the late season Garrett enjoys getting those well educated Kansas Canada geese to decoy just right. He loves watching the way the birds work and the way they respond to calling. Over the years he's traveled throughout the Midwest chasing waterfowl from every pothole to every snow covered corn field, using whatever means possible to put birds in the bag. Garrett feels that sometimes the toughest hunts are the most rewarding, one of his most memorable hunts was when he had to walk a mile threw ankle deep mud to only harvest a few birds.
In the spring you can find Garrett hunting turkeys. He doesn't enjoy anything more than hearing a long beard all fired up at 20 yards. Although Garrett is only 20 years old, he still try's to pass on his hunting passion to younger generations. Garrett strives himself on introducing kids into the outdoors and hopefully getting them hooked the same way he was.
Garrett have used many calls over the years but nothing gives him the pure duck and goose sounds that Zink has been known for. Garrett hopes he can bring his knowledge of hunting those wary Canada geese and those heavy pressured mallards to the Zink Pro Staff. Garrett is excited to be a part of the Zink team.
