Scott Gablehouse
Scott went on his first goose hunt when he was 13 years old. It was a day filled with lots of geese while shooting a limit of giant honkers at close range. The thrilling hunt ignited Scott's desire for hunting and he has not stopped hunting waterfowl since. Now 26 years old and residing in Greeley, Colorado, Scott is involved in all types of hunting ranging from chasing Rocky Mountain Elk to the once in a while upland bird hunt.
During his college years, Scott gained tremendous experience hunting Canadian geese near Sterling, Colorado. After college, Scott moved back to Greeley bringing home his wife Janna and years of hunting experience that has given him an edge in the competitive front range area of Colorado.
Scott now spends his winter days hunting geese in the corn fields around Greeley guiding for Waterfowl Haven Outfitters, where he has been a guide for 4 successful years. While guiding, Scott has been apart of many youth waterfowl hunts and is able to share his knowledge with new waterfowlers. Scott is also able to bring the Zink philosophy to many hunters throughout the season while also learning on every hunt. Scott never misses the chance, when not guiding, to go hunting with buddies who share the same passion for goose hunting. Scott spends the rest of his free time working as operations manager for Foothills Landscape Maintenance. This is the perfect job for him, allowing him the opportunity to work and hunt with his friends.
Scott's experience calling geese in the field has transferred to calling on the stage. He won his 1st contest in the summer of 2005, winning the Stillwater Classic Novice contest and finished 2nd in the Stillwater Classic Open the same day. Scott has several top 5 finishes under his belt and hopes to continue the Zink legacy with many more wins.
