Clint Roby grew up in southwest Missouri where hunting options were abundant but prime waterfowl hunting opportunities were less than the norm. Hunting techniques had to be tailored often and scouting was more than essential. The less than ideal situations instilled in him early that successful waterfowl hunters had to be able to do one thing...adapt! From his earliest days afield he has been fortunate to be surrounded by a number of hunters that have helped shape and develop many of his techniques.

While waterfowling quickly became a favorite, nearly all his extra time was spent either in the woods or on the water hunting or fishing for most everything. This passion helped guide him through college, obtaining a degree in wildlife management and into a career in the natural resources field. Today Clint resides in north central Missouri with his lab Max. Most of his time is consumed with duck and goose hunting in the fall and winter, turkey hunting in the spring, and dog training, fishing, and shooting clays in the summer. Having the opportunity to hunt often and in a wide variety of situations from small streams, to large lakes and rivers, shallow marshes, flooded timber, and dry fields, Clint brings a wide variety of experience and opportunities to the pro-staff. He's recently discovered an interest in outdoor photography and intends to contribute with product and action photos. While sharing time between the Avery and Zink pro-staffs he also belongs to Ducks Unlimited, Delta Waterfowl, and is on the local NWTF committee.
