Terry Shields
Terry Shields was born and raised in northern Michigan. Growing up in such a great setting Terry was exposed to hunting and the out of doors at an early age. His father's friends would spend the seasons with him at his property and before he was old enough to hunt he was hooked. Living on a large lake with connecting marsh also made it easy for Terry to waterfowl hunt and trap. Ultimately though it was the days spent in the marsh that kept his blood boiling. After graduating from High school Terry moved away to college and was introduced to field hunting. His goal as a youth was to get as much time in the outdoors as possible. Currently Terry lives in Freeland Michigan with his wife Michelle and his two children Tyler and Emily. Terry works as a project manager for a local construction company. However, his true passion is hunting which is why he started his guiding business, S2 Waterfowl Guides. This business allows him the opportunity to hunt almost every day using different products and also allows him to share this passion with others. In the off season Terry enjoys competing in goose calling contests and doing banding projects with the local DNR. More importantly Terry likes being involved in youth oriented events such as build a duck call and youth calling seminars. Terry understands it is good to offer instruction and guidance to the youth because the future of hunting and the outdoors is dependant on this. Terry is also a member of the Avery® Pro-Staff.
